Yeah some people would say, "well of course it didn't work because you didn't do everything in the right order." That's not the freaking point. Attack, beat to 0 hp, won't die, won't talk. As far as I understand, Wuunferth can sleep only in beds (not in bedrolls) in 2000 radius. He attacked me on sight, I beat him down to 0 HP but he didn't die. But I followed the quest arrow to Hjerim, went in and found Calixto.
It was 10 in the morning and I had just stepped out of the palace and of course never saw Calixto do anything.
I get the objective "Patrol the gray quarter at night." I think, ok, I'll do that.īut, as soon as I step out of the Palace of Kings, I get the "completed" message for the Patrolling objective, and then the objective "catch the killer" or whatever it's called. I forget I even have the strange amulet.Ī few days later I start the second part of the quest by talking to Wuunferth in jail. My character somehow "knew" that Wuunferth was involved, as I clicked the dialogue option "Wuunferth did it" or something. There was nothing in-game to indicate to me that the Strange Amulet was important in any way, and I didn't need the extra gold, so I just went straight to the Jarl's steward with the journals and stuff.
